High Tech in Sports

The brave new world of high-speed drone races and solar cars is coming to a screen/ simulator/ track near you... sneak preview available at the Future Business Centre on Thu 22nd June.

The CETC assembles a panel of entrepreneurs and inventors to offer glimpses (including video footage) into engineering ingenuity in the realm of sport.

Elena Rastourgeva, Business Manager Eco Racing Team, Cambridge University

Cambridge University Eco Racing (CUER) is a 60 strong student organisation that designs, builds and races solar powered vehicles. Since its founding in 2007, it has become the UK's number 1 solar racing team. CUER competes in the annual World Solar Challenge, which in 2017 will traverse Australia from Darwin to Adelaide.

Jason Winter,  Rotor Rush/ ASL

Jason is a drone racing entrepreneur based in Essex. He represents ASL, a US-based events organiser and also represent Rotor Rush, a drone racing simulator blending e-sports and First Person View drone racing. Jason works with drone race organisers all over the UK and has been invited on the BBC several times. His current goal is to professionalise and monetise the sport.
