Pietro Sormanni - Wren Therapeutics

Wren Therapeutics, founded in 2016, is a spin-off company from the University of Cambridge (UK) and Lund University (Sweden). The company is based at the University of Cambridge, in the recently opened Chemistry of Health Centre, and is focused on drug discovery and development for protein misfolding diseases.

Tarun Vermulkar – Semarion

Semarion is an early-stage drug screening and lead identification company focused on the discovery of first-in-class, GPCR-targeting oncology drugs. Their SemaCyte Platform, developed using advances in microchip technology and nanomagnetism, is a function-first phenotypic screening platform which enables cell-multiplexed screening of drug libraries toward the rapid discovery of functional drug leads.

Karolina Zapadkar – Babraham Bioscience

The aim of Accelerate@Babraham is to support the development of science concepts, the creation of new companies and help to grow early stage biomedical ventures by providing access to equipped communal laboratories on short-term agreements, as well as guidance from mentors and introductions to investors.
